Introducing a new whisky exploration site

Are you ready to embark on a whisky adventure like no other? I'm Chris, and I have a deep and abiding love for whisky. My journey with this golden nectar started many years ago on a remarkable road trip through the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland.

One of the standout moments of that unforgettable trip was our visit to the Aberlour distillery. There, I had the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of the distillation process, and was captivated by the sight of the beautiful old stores where casks patiently aged, transforming into the amber dram we all know and savour. That experience left an indelible mark on me.

Ever since that fateful trip, I've kept a bottle of Aberlour whisky in my cupboard. Initially, it was the ever-accessible 10-year-old expression. Later, this transitioned to the equally available 12-year-old bottle. I’ve also dabbled with the delights of A'Bunadh and Casg Annamh as well.

But, as the years passed, I couldn't help but notice the vast array of other whiskies waiting to be explored. The world of whisky is a tapestry of flavors, aromas, and colors, each unique and inviting. So, I set myself a challenge: to taste 100 different whiskies. My aim was simple - to gain a deeper appreciation for the diversity and complexity of this beloved spirit.

As time passed, I found myself returning to my old favorites more often than not, slipping back into my comfort zone. The challenge beckoned once again. And now, I'm excited to introduce you to this blog, where I'll document my journey of rediscovery as I explore not just 100 whiskies, but perhaps even more!

Join me as I venture into the world of whisky, sharing my experiences, tasting notes, and the stories behind each bottle. Together, we'll uncover the hidden gems and well-known classics, savouring every drop and learning more about this exquisite spirit.

So, are you ready to embark on a whisky odyssey with me? Let's raise our glasses and start this exciting journey of whisky exploration. Cheers to the road ahead!
